About

Facing difficult times in life can be very isolating and debilitating. Going to therapy can offer you a space to process your emotions in a unique environment whereby you can explore them through a process of connecting with yourself. This can help you find the way forward that’s best for you and in a way that everyday life doesn’t give space for due to the overwhelming amount of external influences and expectations.

About Me

As a person-centred counsellor and psychotherapist, my approach is centred on you and the issues you wish to address. Our work together will be guided by your comfort and needs, ensuring a supportive and empathetic environment where you can explore your emotions and experiences at your own pace.

I have personal experience with ADHD and specialise in supporting individuals who are neurodivergent as well as members of the LGBTQIA+ community. In addition, I collaborate with Employee Assistance Program (EAP) companies on an ad hoc basis, providing valuable mental health support in various professional settings.

My educational background includes a Counselling and Psychotherapy MSc in Person-Centred Therapy and a Psychology BSc. Over the years, I have worked with clients from diverse backgrounds, ranging from secondary school students to retirees. My experience includes helping people navigate a wide array of challenges, such as bereavement, terminal illness, self-harm, gender identity issues, divorce, immigration, anxiety, and depression.

As an open-minded and non-judgemental therapist, I strive to create a safe and welcoming space where you can freely explore your thoughts and feelings. Person-centred therapy allows you to delve into difficult emotions and the events connected to them, with my support and understanding guiding you through the process.

Thank you for considering me as your therapist. I look forward to working with you on your journey towards healing and personal growth.

Person-Centred Therapy

Person-centred therapy (PCT) is a humanistic approach that focuses on creating a supportive, non-judgmental environment where clients can explore their thoughts and feelings. Key principles include unconditional positive regard, empathy, and congruence, allowing clients to feel valued and understood. This approach empowers individuals to lead their own healing process, fostering self-awareness, self-esteem, and personal growth.

Emotion-Focused Therapy

Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) is a therapeutic approach that emphasises the importance of emotions in human experience and personal transformation. It helps clients to become aware of, understand, and transform their emotional responses. By focusing on emotions as the key to identity and change, EFT enables individuals to address emotional issues at their core. This therapy is particularly effective for treating depression, anxiety, and relationship conflicts, facilitating emotional healing and fostering healthier emotional functioning.
